A valuable community of experts

Coordinator of a research group of 14 people, she carries out consulting activities for clients. Since 2014 founder of Crossing Ltd Winner of many awards.

The research group with the collaboration of Crossing Srl has been awarded over 15 EUu, National, and Regional financed projects on Environmentally sustainable processes/products and Circular Economy for the Manufacturing industry.

His expertise covers the development of weakening / fragmentation techniques, the development of physical and physico-chemical processes for the treatment of mine drainage, polluted soils, waste and raw materials, the design of extractive metallurgy bioprocesses, the design and development of multi-scale pilots for the processing of minerals and waste and the environmental assessment of products and processes. This expertise also includes the mathematical modeling of processes including mechanistic approaches (computational fluid dynamics) and systemic (mass balances, thermodynamic calculations).

For 6 years, he was responsible for BRGM’s research activities dealing with the development of innovative techniques for the exploitation of mine and urban mine resources.

Since 2019, he has been leading the waste and raw materials unit of BRGM in Orleans. This unit contributes to the development of i) processes for the treatment of metallic ores an the recovery of secondary raw materials and ii) tools and methodologies for the environmental assessment of processes and value chains of raw materials.

Peter obtained his PhD at ETH Zurich, at the intersection of work psychology and business administration, specializing in organization design. He has worked as a management consultant at a design consultancy firm in Switzerland (1997-2018), as a research manager in artificial intelligence at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland (2001-2004), and as a senior project manager and executive editor at Waag in Amsterdam (2007-2010).
