Attila Géczy Inspires with Insights on Greener Electronics at FMNT Seminar

The FMNT was honored to host an inspiring seminar on September 17, 2025 at Grenoble, France with Attila Géczy from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). The event, titled “PCBs from Green Substrates: A Possible Path for Greener Electronics,” captivated attendees both on-site in Grenoble and virtually via Zoom.

Dr. Attila Géczy, a leading expert in sustainable electronics, presented the culmination of several years of research by his group. He also shared insights into his current collaborative work with partners in the DESIRE4EU project, demonstrating tangible pathways for the electronics community to transition towards more environmentally responsible technologies.

His presentation highlighted the critical need for and advancements in developing more sustainable printed circuit boards. His focus on biodegradable alternatives and his leadership of the “Sustainable Electronics Research Group” at BME underscore his commitment to shaping the future of greener electronics.
