DESIRE4EU General Assembly: Two Days of Collaboration and Innovation in Budapest

The DESIRE4EU consortium gathered at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics on August 27th and 28th for its General Assembly, a pivotal moment to align efforts, share progress, and shape the future of sustainable electronics.

A Productive Agenda for a Sustainable Future

Over two intense days, partners reviewed the advancements of all six Work Packages, ensuring alignment with the project’s ambitious goals. Discussions focused on next steps for the coming six months, with a strong emphasis on technical challenges, innovation, and collaboration. The agenda also included a lab tour and upskilling session, offering hands-on insights into the latest developments. A highlight was the visit to MESHINING, a key partner in the project, as well as a presentation by Giorgio Mattana (Université Paris Cité), who recently joined the Advisory Board.

Beyond the Meeting Room: Strengthening Bonds

While the General Assembly was rich in strategic discussions and technical deep dives, it also provided opportunities for informal exchanges and team bonding. Thanks to Attila Geczy, participants enjoyed a dinner and an evening walk through Budapest, discovering the city’s charm and strengthening the consortium’s collaborative spirit.
